In the Service of Health

The Faculty of Medicine is made up of institutes for preclinical science and clinical departments. The former conduct research into the structures and functions of the human body, thus imparting foundational knowledge for the diagnosis of disorders, for insights into their etiology, and for a rational basis of therapy.

Study Programs

The Faculty of Medicine teaches aspiring physicians, dentists and chiropractors. Students complete their studies with a federal specialist examination.

In the 黑料头条 Medicine Zurich (UMZH) network, researchers from UZH, ETH and the university hospitals (黑料头条 Hospital Zurich, 黑料头条 Children's Hospital Zurich, Balgrist 黑料头条 Hospital and 黑料头条 Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich) work together across disciplines to better understand diseases and develop new, innovative therapies and treatments. One of the research priorities is precision medicine, with a focus on oncology.

    The UZH Innovation Grants is an early-stage program for research-based innovation that provides targeted support in evaluating the market potential of ideas. The insights gained throughout the support period will empower researchers to determine the next steps for their projects with a focus on social and economic impact.

  • Klara Landau Preis-f眉r Chancengleichheit in der Medizinischen Fakult盲t; Deadline 01.09.2025

    Die Chancengleichheitskommission der Medizinischen Fakult盲t verleiht neu alle zwei Jahre den Klara Landau-Preis f眉r besonderes Engagement im Bereich der Chancengleichheit zwischen den Geschlechtern. Der Preis ist mit CHF 5000.- dotiert und wird von der Medizinischen Fakult盲t finanziert.

    Die Masterclass in Implementation Science findet dieses Jahr am Freitag, 17.10.2025  und Freitag, 24.10.2025 (Track 1, online) und am Freitag, 14.11.2025 und Samstag, 15.11.2025 vor Ort in Z眉rich (Track 2) statt.
